Do you think Sydney keeps its own among the other graff scenes?
yeah definately, although graffiti as a culture focussed on crime and crew politics seems to have less of a presence in sydney these days, i think things are definately changing for the better.
Any exhibitions we need to know of?

Do you thing there is a big gap between graffiti & street art in Sydney?
probably alot more in sydney than in melbourne, yeah for sure. In melbourne it seems as though the line is blurred and you find alot of graffiti writers will also do stickers/stencils/pasteups, being into all aspects of illegal art.
I guess its a case of fighting for space and recognition in sydney, street art is still finding its feet all the street artists i know are motivated by creating imaginative character based work and focussing on pushing the art more than how much they are getting up, like just bombing etc. So the street artists are seperating themselves from graffiti just by not doing pieces and throwups. Instead its about pasteups/ stickers and just painting walls.
But i think we will see more graff artists start to take and interest and dabble in street art aswell which can only be a healthy thing for the scene, i think Jota is one of the few graff writers who does this well, he has one foot firmly in each camp and holds his ground.

I think max berry is going to freak some people out with his creativity and querkyness, his shits getting real tight right now, and he has the fire in his belly to keep pushing.
