John Doe profile

A fresh face, with a cheeky grin on the Sydney street art scene is John Doe. Rocking a distinct style throughout his characters he will be turning heads all over town, keep ya eyes peeled.

Who are you & what do you do?
My name is John doe, i mainly draw cartoon based characters and enjoy postering.

Where are you from?
I came to Australia about three months ago from England.



Who are your favorite artists?
At the moment im a big fan of “the 5683” , Dirty Thirty and Mr Penfold all of which are English based artists.

You new to Australia & Sydney. Do you thing Sydney keeps its own among the other graff scenes?
From what ive noticed the postering scene is still growing here, its nice to be part of it.



Any exhibitions we need to know of?
Have no idea...

Have you noticed a big gap between graffiti & street art in Sydney?
There is a divide between the two which is cool, some artists crossing over like Ears, Smc3, Fza and Vars. Spray art is something ive never been into as much, but that doesn’t mean Im not gona give it a go.

What’s in your pockets right now?
Phone, Wallet and keys, sorry nothing interesting...

Who are your favorite street artists in Sydney?
Im a big fan of Ears work at the moment, just wandering about the city you realize how much ground he’s covered!
FZA’s Cat was the first poster i saw around the city and was the reason i started postering whilst abroad.
